Prenatal Testing

Deciding to do prenatal screening is an individual choice. For most of our patients we use the Panorama prenatal screen.  This test allows us to determine the gender and can occur any time after 9 weeks. For more information please see

Cystic Fibrosis screening is also available separately.

Please be sure to discuss any other genetic conditions in your family with your provider.

Prenatal labs are drawn at one of your first visits. At around 24 to 28 weeks we test for gestational diabetes and anemia.

Your first ultrasound is usually around 6 – 12 weeks. This allows us to confirm your due date and look for multiples.

Your second ultrasound is around 20 weeks.  Where we look at fetal growth, development and gender.
